Not every portrait session requires three hours and a five-location tour. Mini sessions give you professional Cambridge portrait photography in a focused, efficient 30-minute format — at a price that makes annual portrait updates realistic.
Cambridge mini sessions work for individuals who need updated personal or professional portraits, couples who want beautiful images of their current chapter without a full session commitment, and families who want an annual portrait tradition that actually fits into life. I offer both individual miniature bookings and seasonal group events — blossom sessions in April, golden-hour autumn sessions in October, and Christmas portrait weekends in November.

Seasonal Mini Sessions
Scheduled blossom sessions in April, golden autumn sessions in October, and winter/Christmas portrait slots — limited availability, book early. Watch Instagram for announcements.
Spring Blossom Sessions
Cambridge's cherry and apple blossom in late March and April creates short-lived but extraordinary portrait conditions. Mini sessions on the Backs or at the Botanic Garden during blossom season book up quickly.
Autumn Golden Hour Sessions
October and November bring the most photogenic light of the year — golden-hour sessions at Grantchester or the Backs capture Cambridge at its most painterly. Sessions scheduled for the hour before sunset.
Christmas Mini Sessions
Festive portrait sessions in November and early December — beautiful winter-light portraits for Christmas cards, family gifts and year-end posts. Indoor and outdoor options available.
Individual Portrait Sessions
Updated professional portraits, social media profile images, artist/ author/ professional portraits — the 30-minute format is efficient and produces excellent results for individuals.

What exactly is included in a mini session?
A 30-minute photography session at a Cambridge location, followed by a private online gallery of 15–20+ fully edited images delivered within 7 days. All images are high-resolution and available for download. What's not included: album design, prints, or wardrobe styling — the format is intentionally simple and efficient.
How do I book a mini session?
Contact me via the form below or at hello@yana-sk-photo.uk. I'll confirm available dates at your preferred location and time. Seasonal group mini sessions (blossom, autumn) have fixed dates — subscribe to my newsletter or follow on Instagram to be first to hear when dates open.
Are mini sessions suitable for children?
Yes — especially for children aged 2 and over who can cooperate for short bursts. The 30-minute format is actually better for many young children than a longer session because attention levels stay naturally high throughout. For babies under 12 months, I recommend a standard family session for more flexibility.
Can we choose our own location for a Cambridge mini session?
For individual bookings you can request a specific Cambridge location. For seasonal group mini session events, the location is set in advance and all bookings are at the same site. I can recommend the most photogenic current location for your chosen time of year.
What if the weather is bad on our mini session date?
For outdoor sessions, I monitor the forecast and will contact you in advance if conditions are unsuitable. We can reschedule at no charge, or pivot to a covered Cambridge location if you prefer to keep the original date.
