Cardiff has some of the finest domestic architecture in Wales — Edwardian villas in Pontcanna, Victorian terraces in Roath, Georgian townhouses in Canton, and the modern bay developments. Each type has its own quality of natural light that I work with entirely.

When should I book a newborn session in Cardiff?+
Booking at 28–32 weeks of pregnancy is ideal. I hold your booking provisionally and confirm dates once your baby arrives. The newborn window — the first two weeks of life — is when babies sleep most deeply and look most 'newborn'. Cardiff is busy with young families, especially in Pontcanna, Roath, and Canton, so early booking in popular summer and autumn months is particularly important.
How do Cardiff homes suit lifestyle newborn photography?+
Beautifully. Pontcanna and Canton have elegant Edwardian villas with large bay windows and generous rooms that fill with soft Welsh daylight. Roath Park-area Victorian terraces have classic sash windows and high ceilings. Cardiff Bay modern apartments and inter-war semis in Rhiwbina and Whitchurch all have workable natural light. When I arrive, I find the room with the best light for your baby.
How far around Cardiff do you travel for newborn sessions?+
I cover Cardiff and the surrounding area: Newport, Penarth, Barry, Pontypridd, Caerphilly, Bridgend, and the Vale of Glamorgan. I can also reach Cardiff Bay, Dinas Powys, and the lower Cardiff valleys. Travel within 25 miles of Cardiff is included.
Can the session be conducted in Welsh and English?+
Yes — I'm happy to hold the session in Welsh, in English, or in a bilingual mix. Many Cardiff families appreciate this and I'm glad to accommodate any preference.
