The red sandstone of the Southside and Tollcross, the blonde sandstone of Hyndland and Dowanhill, the generous bay windows and high decorative ceilings — all of these give rooms a quality of light and architectural character that makes every photograph feel warm, timeless, and distinctly Glaswegian.
I photograph newborns in a lifestyle tradition — no studio visit, no props, no elaborate staging. I come to your home, work quietly and slowly with your baby's natural rhythm, and document the real moments of those earliest days. Across Glasgow city and the wider Greater Glasgow area, I bring the session to you so that you never have to leave home during the most tender weeks of your baby's life.

When should I book my Glasgow newborn session?
Book during pregnancy and I will hold a date around your due date, confirmed once baby arrives. The ideal window is 5–14 days after birth.
Are Glasgow tenements good for newborn photography?
They are excellent. Both blonde and red sandstone tenements typically have high ceilings, large bay windows, and well-proportioned rooms with beautiful natural light. The bay windows in particular give pools of soft, directional light that is ideal for newborn portraits. I have photographed in tenements across Shawlands, Hyndland, Partick, Dennistoun, and the Southside and they are consistently among my favourite homes to work in.
Can we include older children and a dog?
Absolutely — siblings and pets are warmly welcome. Some of the most treasured photographs from any newborn session capture those first moments between siblings, and dogs are often beautifully gentle and curious around a new baby.
Do you cover the Glasgow suburbs?
Yes — I cover all of Greater Glasgow including Bearsden, Milngavie, Bishopbriggs, Newton Mearns, Clarkston, Rutherglen, and Uddingston. Travel throughout Greater Glasgow is included in the session fee.
What should we do to prepare?
Nothing needs to be staged or styled. Have the baby dressed simply — a basic sleepsuit or wrapped in a blanket is ideal. Keep the room warm and have your feeding setup ready. I bring everything else I need and work entirely around your baby's natural rhythm.
