Natural In-Home Lifestyle Newborn Photography
I travel to homes across Plymouth and the wider South Devon area for lifestyle newborn photography in the natural light of your own home — no studio, no props, no journey.
Plymouth has a wide range of housing styles. Victorian and Edwardian terraces along Mutley Plain, North Road, and in Stoke and Compton typically have generous sash windows and high ceilings with beautiful natural light. Inter-war semis across West Park, Plymstock, and Plympton have bay windows that create soft, wrap-around morning light.
No studio visit, no navigating Plymouth traffic with a fragile newborn. I come to your home, read the light, find the best spots, and document your baby's first days exactly as they are — in your own space, with your smell and your sounds.
Partners, older children, grandparents, even family pets — all welcome in the frame. These images tell the full story of the family that welcomed this baby.

Around 28–32 weeks of pregnancy is ideal. I hold your dates provisionally and confirm arrangements once your baby arrives. The newborn window — the first two weeks — is when babies sleep most deeply. Plymouth has many young families, especially in growing areas like Plymstock and Derriford, so popular months can book up quickly.
Almost certainly. Victorian terraces in Mutley Plain and Stoke have original sash windows with excellent directional light. Modern homes in Derriford, West Park, and Woolwell have well-proportioned living spaces. Post-war semis across Plymstock and Plympton often have generous back bedrooms with lovely morning light. I work with whatever your home offers.
I cover Plymouth and a wide area: Saltash, Torpoint, Tavistock, Ivybridge, Kingsbridge, Totnes, Dartmouth, and the South Hams coast. The Tamar Bridge makes reaching Cornwall straightforward. Travel within 25 miles of Plymouth city centre is included in the session fee.
Yes. If your baby has arrived and you haven't yet booked, please message me directly. I keep short-notice spaces open for this. The ideal window is the first 10–14 days, but older newborns photograph beautifully too.
