Swindon & Wiltshire
Natural portraits at Lydiard Park, Avebury, the Marlborough Downs, and Savernake Forest.
Portrait Photography in Swindon
Swindon sits in the northern edge of Wiltshire, with some of southern England's most dramatic natural landscapes within easy reach. Lydiard Park's Georgian mansion and lake give elegant, varied portrait settings close to the town centre. Twenty minutes east, the chalk Marlborough Downs and the world's largest stone circle at Avebury give portrait sessions an ancient, open quality that belongs nowhere else on earth.
I photograph across Swindon and Wiltshire with a natural, unhurried approach — reading the landscape and the light to build images that feel specific to this part of the world.

Lydiard Park is the go-to for elegant formal portraits close to the town. For something more dramatic, Avebury and the Marlborough Downs give open downland with ancient monuments — unlike anywhere else in southern England. Savernake Forest and Coate Water offer quieter woodland and lakeside settings.
Yes — Avebury is extraordinary for portrait sessions. The standing stones in the open downland give a quality to images unlike any formal garden or parkland.
Yes — all of Wiltshire is covered including Chippenham, Marlborough, Devizes, Trowbridge, and Salisbury. Travel throughout the county is included.
Spring (April–May) for fresh greens along the Ridgeway and in Savernake Forest, and September–October for golden harvest light on the Marlborough Downs. Avebury in winter dawn mist is also extraordinary.
