Newcastle and Northumberland offer some of the most dramatic natural backdrops in England for outdoor maternity photography. Jesmond Dene — a wooded gorge running through the heart of the city — gives intimate dappled-light portraits within minutes of the centre. Beyond Newcastle, the Northumberland National Park, Hadrian's Wall ridge, and the wild North Sea coast offer expansive, cinematic settings rare anywhere in England.
I offer relaxed, outdoor bump sessions across Newcastle and the North East — natural connection portraits in the golden evening light, with partner and sibling portraits warmly encouraged. Sessions are ideal between 28 and 34 weeks, and I travel from Cambridge for Newcastle maternity photography.

Between 28–34 weeks is ideal — the bump is beautifully present and movement is still comfortable. Newcastle's parks and Northumberland offer sessions year-round, with long summer evenings and rich autumn colour both particularly beautiful.
Newcastle has Jesmond Dene — a remarkable wooded gorge running through the inner city with bridges, waterfalls, and dense canopy. Beyond the city, Northumberland offers some of England's most dramatic landscapes: the National Park moorland, Hadrian's Wall ridge, medieval castles at Alnwick, and wild dune beaches at Bamburgh and Seahouses.
Yes — Newcastle's Victorian townscape and Quayside bridges (SAGE, Millennium Bridge) give a distinctly urban North East character for city maternity portraits if preferred over the countryside settings.
Yes — Newcastle and the North East are on my travel circuit. Travel within the Newcastle/Northumberland area is included in all maternity packages.
