Beverley Westwood, 15 minutes away, is 650 acres of genuinely open medieval common land with views to Beverley Minster. And the Humber Bridge Country Park below the great suspension bridge gives portrait sessions a structural drama unlike anywhere else in Yorkshire.
I photograph naturally and without direction — working with the landscape and the light to make portraits that feel like you, in a place you actually know. Sessions are relaxed and unhurried. Whether you want the open space of the Westwood, the chalk cliff drama of Flamborough Head, or the city comfort of East Park, I'll find the setting that works best for you.

Where in Hull do you recommend for portrait photography?+
Beverley Westwood — 15 minutes north of Hull — is my first choice for East Yorkshire portrait sessions. 650 acres of open medieval common land with views to the Minster towers gives a scale and timelessness unlike any suburban park. East Park is the best in-city option. For something more dramatic, Flamborough Head and the chalk cliffs give coastal portraits unique to the East Riding.

Yes — the Wolds are 30–40 minutes from Hull city centre and offer extraordinary open chalk downland settings. Huggate, Millington, and the Staple Howe escarpments give wide valley perspectives that make portrait sessions feel genuinely epic. Extended sessions including Wolds travel are available.
